Kelly Hill

Session #1: Recruiting Allies of Color

Kelly completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Evangel University in Springfield,
Missouri in 2008, earning the distinction, “Outstanding Student in the Field of Social Work.”
Kelly moved to Columbia in 2011 to pursue her Master of Social Work degree from the
University of Missouri, which she completed in 2012. Kelly’s experience in the social work field
has focused on child abuse prevention, child welfare, and family preservation programs,
including a residential treatment facility, crisis care nursery, and now Heart of Missouri CASA
(Court Appointed Special Advocates). Kelly also spent 3 years at local nonprofit, Love INC,
where she created and implemented a financial management coaching program called Extra
Mile. Kelly has been in her position at Heart of Missouri CASA since October 2016 and believes
strongly in the mission of giving a voice to children who go unseen and unheard during the
chaos of foster care.
