Melina Constantine Miseo

Session #3: Ungendered Allyship

Melina Constantine Miseo (they/them pronouns) is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at the University of Missouri. Their research focuses on relationships between parents and transgender youth, specifically looking at parental reactions and feelings when a child first comes out as trans. Mel is an adult coordinator of The Center Project’s PRISM, which is a youth group for LGBTQ+ young people ages 11-18 years old in the Mid-MO area. To distract from grad school life, Mel enjoys gardening, embroidery, and playing with their cat Bagel.
